Role Summary
As a Video Editor, you’ll craft engaging short-form and long-form videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, and Gyaan-E’s in-app content.
Your role will demand strong storytelling, fast turnaround, and an eye for trends to maximize engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities
️ 1. Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit short-form videos (30s–90s) and long-form content as per creative briefs.
Add transitions, captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and background music.
Ensure high-quality output aligned with brand tone and visual identity.
Optimize videos for multiple platforms (Instagram, You Tube, App, etc.).
2. Content Optimization & Creativity
Enhance storytelling to boost hook, retention & completion rates.
Stay updated with trends, editing styles, memes & platform algorithms.
Suggest creative improvements for scripts, pacing, and visuals.
Repurpose long-form videos into multiple engaging short clips.
3. Collaboration & Workflow Management
Work closely with content creators, scriptwriters, and team leads.
Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Incorporate feedback efficiently and iterate quickly.
✅ 4. Quality Control & Brand Consistency
Ensure accuracy in captions, subtitles, and on-screen text.
Maintain visual consistency — fonts, colors, tone, and brand style.
Follow internal QC and publishing standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve.
Basic knowledge of After Effects or Motion Graphics (preferred).
Deep understanding of social media content formats & trends.
Strong sense of timing, pacing & storytelling flow.
Qualifications (Preferred)
Education:
Any graduate or diploma holder
Background in Film, Media, or Mass Communication is a plus.
1–2 years of hands-on video editing experience (short-form preferred).
Experience editing Instagram Reels / You Tube Shorts is mandatory.
Freshers with a strong creative portfolio are welcome!
Comfortable with Hindi & English content.
Bonus Skills
Experience with educational, infotainment, or creator-led content.
Knowledge of audience retention metrics & platform analytics.
Familiarity with AI tools for editing, captions, or workflow automation.
