Job Description & How to Apply Below
Hiring at DIRTS: A Video Editor who cuts for retention, not applause.

Not "makes nice videos."
Not "great with transitions."

Someone who knows the first three seconds decide everything, and that a scroll-stopping edit is engineered not stumbled into. If "hook," "hold rate," "retention curve," and "pattern interrupt" are everyday words to you and you're already generating clips with Veo 3, Runway or Kling, not planning to "learn AI someday" keep reading.

About DIRTS
DIRTS is a fast-growing D2C wellness and lifestyle brand based in India, building innovative, non-invasive products like Foot Alignment Socks, Barefoot Socks, TENS Massagers, Winter Socks, Gloves, and more. We sell across our own website and marketplaces, and we grow on the back of paid creative. We're hiring a full-time Video Editor to own performance video end-to-end — the ads that actually run, and actually convert.

Why we're being specific:
Most editors can cut a clean video. Few can cut one that survives a Meta auction. The skill we need sits at the intersection of editing and performance marketing — someone who instinctively knows why a video holds attention past second three, why one opener beats another off the same footage, and why a "beautiful" edit can still lose money. Craft without performance is just a nice-looking video nobody watched.

What you'll own:

Performance video ad edits for Meta and Google — UGC, founder-led, testimonial, problem-solution. You'll cut across all of them.
Editing for retention: sharp hooks, tight pacing, pattern interrupts, captions/subtitles, sound design, b-roll and text/motion graphics that earn the next second.
Generating footage with the frontier of AI video tools — using Sora, Veo 3, Runway, Kling, Luma and Pika to create b-roll, product shots and UGC-style scenes we can't or shouldn't film, and blending them into real footage so cleanly nobody can tell.
Volume and variation — multiple cuts and hook variants of the same script, tested ruthlessly, not one hero video a month.
Reading creative reports — hold rate, retention drop-off, CTR, CPA — and re-cutting from the data, not from taste.
Working alongside scriptwriters, designers and the performance team so the final asset matches the intent.
Attending shoots when needed and protecting the creative through to export.

What we're looking for:

You've edited performance / UGC video ads for D2C, e-commerce, wellness, skincare, beauty or supplement brands.
You can show us a reel — 3–5 ads you've cut that delivered measurable results — and talk about what worked and what didn't.
You're hands-on with the latest AI video generation tools — Sora, Veo 3, Runway, Kling, Luma, Pika, plus AI-UGC tools like Hey Gen or Arcads — and you keep up as they evolve. You can prompt, generate, clean up and cut AI clips into ads that don't look "AI."
You think in hooks and retention. You edit fast. You revise faster.
Vertical, short-form, UGC and influencer-style formats are native to you, not buzzwords.
You know your way around Premiere Pro / After Effects (DaVinci or Cap Cut fine too) — captions, sound and basic motion graphics all in your own hands.
You're comfortable being judged on numbers, not on how cinematic the cut looked.
You're based in Noida (or willing to relocate / commute to our Noida office).

The role:

Full-time, work from our Noida office (G-118, Sector-63, Noida).
Working closely with the founder, performance team and creative team.
Direct feedback loops, lots of ownership, no corporate ladder between you and the work.

Probably not the right fit if:
Your reel is mostly wedding films, cinematic brand films, corporate AVs or festival edits.
You've never cut for retention or had to defend an edit with metrics.
You see AI generation as cheating rather than an edge — or you're waiting to "get around to learning it."
You do your best work with weeks per video and no volume pressure.
You're representing an agency rather than yourself.

Put your showreel link at the top of your CV — we click every one. If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you. Bonus points if your reel includes an ad where you used AI-generated footage and we can't spot it.
