Overview
Direct Hire Solicitation. Positions may be permanent, temporary, or term with a full‑time work schedule.
Responsibilities- Utilize IT principles, methods, and security regulations to administer the base‑wide INFOSEC (COMPUSEC) program.
- Implement procedures to protect information transmitted to and from the installation and the local or wide area networks.
- Administer the Communications Security (COMSEC) program; control and protect all cryptographic material and administer the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP).
- Conduct semi‑annual functional reviews of all COMSEC user accounts; inspect COMSEC facilities and audit all cryptographic holdings.
- Administer the COMPUSEC program and protect IT assets against unauthorized modification, disclosure, and destruction of data.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current or authorized PCS, with the option for relocation.
- Security clearance may be required.
- Random drug testing may be performed.
- Shift work and emergency overtime may be required; evening, weekend, and holiday hours possible.
- Full/part‑time open to direct childcare positions; discounts per applicable policy.
Must meet the OPM qualification standards for the IT Management Series 2210 (Alternative
A). Basic requirements: degree in computer science, engineering, information science, or related field, or appropriate experience levels for GS‑09 to GS‑14. Specialized experience for each grade level as described in the OPM guidance.
