SANE Position

Pay Rate: $2,600.00 - $2,800.00 gross per week

Assignment Length: 13 weeks, 26 weeks preferred

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, can include on call for nights and weekends

Additional Details about the position:

• Develops a discharge plan of care that addresses the patient's needs (medical, emotional and safety) and that contains appropriate referrals.

• Communicates the exam findings to the patient and the SANE/SART Manager. Communicates with law enforcement, OCS, and CAC when appropriate, per program P&Ps.

• Participates in the SANE On-Call Schedule as needed by the department.

• Participates in Quarterly SANE Team meetings for case review, quality assurance, quality improvement, and clinical education.

• Participates in Monthly CAC MDT meetings and SART MDT meetings for case review, quality assurance, quality improvement and clinical education.

• Provides testimony in court as an expert/fact witness when subpoenaed.

• Participates in a preceptorship with a certified SANE-A or SANE-P to achieve clinical competency and qualification to apply for certification as SANE-A, SANE-P.

Experience Requirements:

  • More experience in a SANE setting the better

Certification Requirements:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Must have completed the 40 hour Sexual Assault Examiner Training and be willing to work toward and achieve SANE Certification within 2 years.

Licensure Requirement:

  • Alaska RN can start with any state license must start AK process after position accepted
