Unarmed Security Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc. a company of Afognak Native Corporations has opportunities full-time rotational Unarmed Security Officers. The Unarmed Security Officer is a twelve-hour shift that is consecutive for fourteen-days straight (168hrs worked per 2-week rotation) in Nome, AK where travel, room, and board are covered.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Duties and responsibilities include a variety of security related duties to include, but not limited to Access Control;
Roving Patrols;
Traffic Control;
Control Issuance and Storage of keys;
Security and Fire Systems;
Building Rules and Regulations;
Response to Incident, Injury, Illness; and other security related duties as required. This is a full-time position.

• Responds to a variety of calls/incidents, secures/safeguards client’s assets and property jurisdiction, perform crowd control as required, performs personnel, vehicular and building facility checks, First Aid and CPR as required, and completes all required reports, forms, and other documentation IAW established procedures.
• Staffs post continuously and provide access control; deters/reports unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry, directs traffic and provides information to visitors, and screens packages
• Maintains uniform and grooming standards IAW company policies, operates patrol vehicle in a safe manner
• Safeguard all assets.
• Conducts any other assignments in accordance with established SOP’s.
• Works closely with client management and local law enforcement based on various types of property activities.
• Familiar with Security systems including CCTV and mobile security applications.

Payrate: $18.00 Hourly/$48,600 Annually

• High School diploma or GED
• Flexible to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays during 2-week rotational schedule.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test
• Must possess and maintain state required Unarmed Security Officer licensing
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision

The pay range information provided is a general guideline. The pay rate offered will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as geographic locations, market data, and other business considerations, as permitted by law.
