PositionInsulator - O&M NSC
Job SummaryThe Insulator is responsible for performing the full range of journey-level insulation work, including the installation, removal, and repair of insulating materials on various equipment, structures, and buildings. This position may coordinate the work of apprentice insulators and other crew members.
Essential Duties- Review blueprints, schematic drawings, and job specifications to determine the amount and type of insulation required for assigned work.
- Perform all phases of advanced cutting, fitting, and installation of insulation material.
- Fabricate, install, remove, and repair insulation materials on tanks, boilers, turbines, pumps, pipes, valves, floors, ceilings, walls, and other structures.
- Cover and line structures with blown or rolled forms of materials to insulate against cold, heat, or moisture using saws, trowels, blowers, and other instruments and tools.
- Cover and seal insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, sealants, tape, or cement.
- Maintain records of work orders and materials used.
- Prepare reports and conduct inspections as required.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of apprentice insulators and other crew members.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- A minimum of five (5) years combined work experience as an Insulator.
- One (1) year of experience working on the North Slope required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Driver License or valid required.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.
