Under the direction of an administrator, assist a certificated teacher to provide academic support and assist individual or small groups of students, with special learning needs in a general and/or special education classroom or other learning environment; reinforce instruction and learning experiences; monitor and oversees student drills, homework, practices and assignments in various subjects; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.
Requirements/ Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed and one (1) year of related experience. Effective 10/1/24:
If you have an AA, Bachelors, or Masters Degree you must also attach your High School Diploma. You may not submit a college degree in lieu of your High School Diploma or equivalent.
Para educator Exam:
Applicants will be notified via email of testing date, time and location. No test will be required if a person has 48 semester units, or has an AA Degree or higher. If you are attaching an AA, Bachelors, or Masters Degree you must also attach your High School Diploma.
- Proof of HS Graduation (high school diploma or equivalent. Only official transcripts or a copy of college degree will be accepted.)
