Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma – Additional education is preferred
- Basic knowledge of IT support functions
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Works well in a team environment and under pressure
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Moderate proficiency in Google based programs (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
Job
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine campus operations:
- Assist students, faculty, staff, potential students, etc. in a professional, courteous manner
- Answer telephones in a professional, courteous manner
- Assist professors with copying or clerical tasks
- Coordinate and set up classroom technology for faculty
- Assist faculty with the use of classroom technology and office equipment
- Assist other campus staff with work projects or assignments
- Check all computers in the labs and student center to ensure all computers and printers are turned off and work stations are arranged neatly at the end of each shift
- Return each classroom (chairs, tables, etc.) to original setup and ensure that the entire campus is neat and orderly at the end of each shift
- Replenish/stock any supplies needed (such as refilling the copiers with paper, etc.)
- Ensure entire campus is open for operation by posted campus hours
- Ensure entire campus is secure and closed upon posted campus hours
- Support the academic programs by assisting students with completing procedural matters relative to their continued enrollment:
- Answer student's questions or direct them to the correct person or department
- Always help someone if possible, before directing them to another campus
- Provide a secure working environment for students, faculty, and staff:
- Check classrooms for students and lock all doors at the end of operating hours
- Ensure all entrances/exit doors are locked and set the alarm at the end of operating hours
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities required.
Work Hours:
Part-time, less than 20 hours per week. Generally, all day every Saturday [7:30am-6:00pm] and other days/evenings as necessary. Hours may be extended or altered to meet the needs of the campus.
Appointment Length: 12 months, continuous
Environmental and Working Conditions/Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
Sedentary work. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must have the ability to travel short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
