Retirement Plan Administrative Support Specialist

Robert Half HR Solutions is currently partnering with a client that is looking to add a detail-oriented Retirement Plan Administrative Support Specialist to join their growing retirement services team. This role will provide administrative and client support for retirement plan operations, ensuring the accurate processing of plan-related transactions, reporting, documentation, and participant requests.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with 401(k) or retirement plans, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage and organize large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for plan participants, vendors, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide high-volume customer support via phone and email, responding to inquiries regarding retirement plan administration and participant requests.
  • Gather, review, manipulate, and organize retirement plan data using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prepare and distribute required reports, plan documentation, and participant communications.
  • Review plan paperwork for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Assist with retirement plan enrollments, distributions, loans, beneficiary updates, and other participant transactions.
  • Support the implementation of new retirement plans, including document collection, system setup coordination, and administrative tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of plan-related activities and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the delivery of required notices and communications in accordance with plan guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine administrative functions to support the day-to-day management of retirement plans.
  • Assist with compliance-related reporting and annual plan administration activities.
