Job Summary
Secure and maintain new and existing service/maintenance accounts, repair work, modernization projects, and develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers so that the branch meets annual revenue goals. May also bid on new installation and modernization jobs. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Exceed sales goals and quotas by utilizing company tools for service and repair growth and cancellation reduction.
- Generate leads after researching and identifying potential candidates. Qualify those leads through cold-calls, emails, networking events, and industry databases, tracking status with company systems.
- Manage service accounts by visiting customers within assigned territory, to develop ongoing relationships with customers and build an understanding of their needs and wants, including building relationships with any associated groups.
- Develop capital plans for customers to address their short- and long-term building needs.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products by attending training classes and studying factory equipment manuals and supplier information, including developing knowledge of local elevator code requirements.
- Prepare repair job proposals by estimating labor and other job costs using estimating software; obtain price estimates from suppliers for items not in the program and review blueprints, surveying equipment, and interfacing with operations personnel for input and approvals.
- Prepare service contract bids, including reviewing blueprints and surveying equipment when necessary and interfacing with operations personnel for input and approvals.
- Receive and respond to written and oral questions related to quoted repairs and service contracts, including performing follow-up with customers on all service and repair proposals.
- Monitor the status of current service contracts by visiting jobsites and customers within assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction with service; resolve outstanding issues.
- Contact service customers regarding contract renewal prior to contract expiration and advise of price increases if appropriate.
- Keep timely, well-organized records of sales activities using company-provided sales management software.
- Utilize systems to perform various tracking functions.
- Assist in accounts receivable collection efforts to ensure prompt payment from customers.
- Work closely with operations and projects teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Conduct customer follow-up on all proposals and visit project sites when necessary to ensure customer needs and deadlines are met.
- Identify and communicate the impact of the sales plan on financial statements.
- Conduct portfolio analysis to identify and connect with the decision maker in organizations and to anticipate opportunities.
- Collaborate with the operations manager to survey potential jobs and prepare estimates and proposals efficiently.
- Lead Fujitec and sales presentations at customer/consultant meetings and lunch-and-learns.
- Education:
Bachelor’s in related field - Experience:
Minimum 3 years in related field - Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
