DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARYPruitt Health is looking for a competent, hands‑on Project Superintendent with experience in commercial construction. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor. Projects primarily consist of interior renovations to our healthcare facilities located throughout the Southeast.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
- Provide hands‑on field supervision, direction and corrective actions for onsite construction operations.
- Self‑perform basic construction duties on site as needed.
- Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to the plans and Pruitt Health standards.
- Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems.
- Order materials for ongoing projects.
- Maintain positive relationship with our customers, contractors, suppliers and partners.
- Promote job‑site safety, encourage safe work practice and rectify job‑site hazards.
- Ensure all company partners and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
- Maintain and organize job site including the warehouse.
- Supervise and train new and existing superintendents and other team members as directed.
- Must be willing to TRAVEL and be away from home during the week depending on which project you are assigned to (Typical travel: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida).
- Other duties as required.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A 2‑ or 4‑year degree in construction management preferred.
- 5‑10 years of experience in commercial construction with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in healthcare construction preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand plans & specifications with knowledge of all trades.
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project a plus.
