DescriptionThe Project Manager is a dynamic and organized professional who manages construction projects from start to finish. This role requires leadership skill, people management skills, project management skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to lead teams effectively. The Project Manager ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution:
Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. - Client Communication:
Maintain regular communication with client’s key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. - Scheduling:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion. - Budget Management:
Create, monitor, and control project budgets. - Resource Management:
Allocate resources and manage project teams, within budget. - Quality Control:
Ensure all aspects of project quality standards are met; identify and manage project risks; coordinate and manage subcontractors. - Reporting:
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management. - Problem Solving:
Address and resolve project-related issues and conflicts; manage construction projects from start to finish with a focus on excellence; develop project plans, schedules, and budgets that drive efficiency; coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and team members; monitor project progress and address any issues proactively; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; conduct regular project meetings and status updates; manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies;
develop and maintain strong client relationships; prepare and present project reports; oversee project documentation; drive continuous improvement initiatives; ensure resource allocation aligns with project requirements; review order accuracy; approve POs and invoices; negotiate best pricing; complete GC pay apps; complete subcontractor pay apps; assist with APM, and PE training; visit sites at least once a month; follow up with to-do tasks for project continuation;
maintain open line of communication with fabrication team, leadership, vendors, customers, field team, and subcontractors; track orders ETA and prepare shop or site team; maintain schedule up-to-date; review monthly financial reports; review vehicle weekly report; strong lead on PM and fabrication meetings; update Procore monthly; request and submit all documentation needed for projects; approve CO's; award vendors and subcontractors; be present for water tests;
create solutions for jobsite or project challenges; prepare for jobsite mobilizations; ensure new hires receive tech package and mobilization items; prepare for meetings; review project daily logs; review all installation manuals before mobilization; review submittal responses and update all teams accordingly.
- Project Management:
Proficiency in project management methodologies and software. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Budget Management:
Strong budget management and financial tracking skills. - Scheduling:
Ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules. - Problem-Solving:
Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills; knowledge of construction processes and regulations; excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities;
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; experience in project management within the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years; proven track record of successful project delivery; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; strong analytical and decision‑making skills; high level of integrity and commitment to excellence; continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies.
- Minimum 4 years in Commercial Glazing project management and/or relevant achievements & performance.
- Minimum 2 successful project completions in full cycle.
