JOB TITLE: Construction Project Representative
LOCATION: Georgia

JOB DESCRIPTIONWiedeman & Singleton is seeking a dependable and detailed-oriented onsite construction representative (under supervision of construction manager) for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral duties and responsibilities to include the following:
- Monitor and inspect on-site construction performed by the general contractor and their sub-contractors to ensure and document the construction is completed in accordance with the contract plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Read, understand, and interpret contract plans and specifications and contract documents.
- Discuss project issues with the contractor, project team, and clients.
- Assist the construction manager to resolve construction conflicts.
- Recommend acceptance or rejection of construction materials for quantity, quality, and conformance to applicable specifications.
- Verify materials and quantities for payment on Contractor’s monthly partial pay request.
- Keep daily logs and project records, including photographs during inspections, and for record drawings.
- Coordinate quality control and compliance for projects.
- Complete final project inspection (testing of pipelines, equipment, site conformance, etc.), prepare punch list and ensure any deficiencies are addressed by the contractor.
- Participate in project meetings (Progress meeting, Preconstruction, etc.).
- A two (2) or four (4) year Civil Engineering Technology Degree or Construction Management Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No experience in the infrastructure construction is required. However, experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license and an operating motor vehicle is required.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- The position includes work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather, and requires the ability to safely navigate a construction work site.
- Proficient in basic office technology (email, Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications.
- Familiarity and use with surveying instruments is preferred.
- Field work will be at projects around North Georgia and will typically require a full 8-hour day.
- Office work (shop drawings, etc.) will be remote from your residence. Computer equipment and software will be provided by the company. You must provide a broadband connection at your residence.
- Will be based on education and experience. ($65,000 - $85,000). Full-time W-2 employment.
