Position: Relationship Banker I (Norcross Branch)

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, while contributing to the financial wellness of our customers. The role focuses on creating meaningful personal connections, processing transactions, identifying customer needs, and assisting in resolving end‑to‑end customer service inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller activities.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN reset, reordering checks, basic problem resolution).
  • Develop relationships with customers, staying well‑informed about their banking relationship.
  • Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
  • Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
  • Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
  • Follow all bank processes and procedures and adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including completing duties delegated by the Branch Manager and managing operational risks.
  • Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
  • May conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with meeting their financial needs.

This position requires tracking of time for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
  • Effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and via electronic channels.
  • Computer proficiency, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Preferences
  • One (1) year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer service experience.
Skills and Competencies
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Assisting customers with digital banking offerings.
  • Managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Handling large sums of cash.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Factors influencing pay include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance. Pay may vary among associates within the same job.

Minimum

Job Range Target: $41,581.16 USD

Median: $49,224.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans

This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
