Product Design Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a product design engineer in the Norcross GA area

Product Design Engineer who thrives at the intersection of imagination and execution.

This is a fully in person role and is hands on from day one.

You will take ideas from rough sketches and napkin concepts all the way through working prototypes and production ready designs.

You should be equally comfortable brainstorming wild concepts, building physical prototypes, writing code, and diving into mechanical and electrical problem solving.

Some travel will be required for manufacturing, suppliers, testing, and events.

• Design and develop new products from concept through production
• Rapidly prototype using a mix of physical and digital tools
• Build and test mechanical systems, electronics, and interactive components
• Write clear engineering documentation including design intent, specs, and build notes
• Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and manufacturing partners
• Travel as needed for suppliers, manufacturing, testing, and product related events
• Iterate quickly based on testing, feedback, and real world use
• Help define product architecture, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot and refine designs for reliability, safety, and scalability

• Extremely strong creative instincts and product intuition
• Deep hands on prototyping experience with physical products
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering and embedded systems
• Comfortable with programming for hardware or product interaction
• Experience with CAD and design for manufacturing
• Ability to clearly document designs and engineering decisions
• Self directed, curious, and excited to own projects end to end

• Experience with consumer products or toys
• Familiarity with rapid manufacturing methods like 3D printing and CNC
• Experience taking products from prototype to mass production
• Passion for play, motion, and interactive experiences
