Senior Developer, Manufacturing Applications – Norcross, GA

Responsibilities- Support shop floor applications enabling LIGHTERA digital manufacturing capabilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Gather and assess requirements, design, develop, and support multiple native and third‑party applications.
- Operate as a member of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) group based in Norcross, GA.
- Occasional travel (domestic and international) may be required.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years delivering manufacturing shop floor solutions using current generation Industry 4.0 technologies
- Experience with Ignition (Perspective/Vision), Unified Name Space (UNS with MQTT), and MES/SCADA platforms (Fuuz, Kanoa, Sepasoft, etc.)
- Ability to translate business demands into structured software requirements and design documents, including MES capabilities such as OEE, production tracking, quality, traceability and genealogy
- Exposure to Oracle and/or MS SQL databases and related development platforms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and source control technologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft .NET Framework, MS Visual Studio 2022 or later; languages including ASP.NET, C#, Python/Jython and Java
- 10+ years of experience with multiple MES platforms and manufacturing application development in 24x7 global production environments
- Experience guiding external system integrators and third‑party solution providers
- Experience with ERP, Quality, Maintenance, HR integrations as part of a shop floor solution
- Ability to articulate the ISA‑95 model and data flow architecture within Industry 4.0
- Exposure to UNS, data flow and data architecture options; experience with shop floor data technologies (MQTT, Snowflake, Kafka, OPC UA) and SCADA systems, PLCs, historians
- Exposure to AI tools and technologies (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT)
- Experience with multiple programming languages, Web Development Methodologies (MVC, Razor, REST/SOAP, JSON); ERP systems (SAP & JDE) is a plus
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Maintain discretion with confidential and proprietary information
- Adhere to safety policies and conduct standards
- Model safe work practices and behaviors
