Operations Manager, Systems Engineer
Location: Norcross, GA (20% travel throughout the Americas)
Pay: $90,000–$120,000 base + annual bonus (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite with regional travel
Our client is a long-standing manufacturer of complex industrial equipment used across high-volume production environments. They are known for their technical innovation, reliable systems, and strong commitment to supporting customers throughout the full lifecycle of their equipment.
They are looking for you
—a skilled Project Manager who can lead equipment improvement projects, upgrades, and conversions on customer production lines. This is a direct-hire role responsible for driving technical project execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects meet customer expectations for timing, budget, and performance.
- Lead technical upgrade projects, equipment modifications, and conversions
- Translate customer needs into actionable project plans
- Assess technical feasibility and risks, coordinating with internal technical teams
- Oversee Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance from project kickoff to final acceptance
- Provide project status updates and maintain accurate documentation
- Support sales teams with technical input during proposals and presentations
- Coordinate on-site technicians during installation and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
- Manage project escalations and corrective actions when needed
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience managing technical or industrial equipment projects
- Background in machinery, automation, maintenance, or production environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering documents
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer expectations
- Knowledge of risk management, staff coordination, and budgeting
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience (such as SAP) preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% across the Americas
