Position Title
Vaco Atlanta is hiring an Instrumentation & Controls System Engineer to join a growing organization supporting critical safety infrastructure. You’ll help redesign legacy systems, solve complex technical problems, and build engineering capability from the ground up. This is a high- impact role for a hands-on Electrical Engineer who enjoys design, problem-solving, and working in highly regulated environments.
Role: Instrumentation & Controls System Engineer
Location: Norcross
Onsite: 100% onsite (non-negotiable)
Job Type: permanent
Pay: $110,000 - $120,000 annually
What You’ll Do:- Design and reverse engineer obsolete electrical/I&C components
- Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, design calculations, FMEAs, and technical documentation
- Lead component equivalency analysis, troubleshooting, and failure investigations
- Oversee qualification testing and vendor/test lab coordination
- Support project schedules, estimating, and cross-functional engineering initiatives
- BS in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10+ years of electrical systems design experience
- Strong analog electronics, circuit analysis, PCB design, and signal integrity experience
- Reverse engineering or redesign experience
- Background in heavily regulated industries preferred
