Position Summary
Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation of compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. The pharmacist will assist in the supervision of IV technicians, interns, and other support personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS SOPs.
- Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory agencies.
- Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
- Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel; provides after‑hour on‑call coverage as needed.
- Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
- Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- May supervise IV technicians and interns; reviews work for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.

- Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree or Pharm
D required. - 04–06 years related experience required.
- Applicable industry/professional certification required.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work non‑standard schedule as needed, including on‑call hours and weekends.
- Valid pharmacist license.
4x10:
Work from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm with weekend rotations; holiday/overtime as needed.

- Occasionally stand, walk, and lift or move up to 20 pounds.
