Systems Administrator
Location:
Kendall Park, NJ
- Customize, configure, install, maintain, and upgrade complex servers, hardware, and software utilizing AIX/Linux and AIX/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Design, develop, and implement strategies for system server operations, production, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Configure, deploy, and support domains, security measures, system backups, and servers in AIX/Linux, High Availability (HA), and UNIX environments.
- Administer and configure server/system dependent file systems such as JFS, VxFS, ext2, and Pseudo
FX. - Design and create functional virtual server partitions for Virtual I/O client and environment.
- Engage in capacity planning and system fine tuning to improve performance.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support for production issues in AIX/RHEL.
- Monitor, evaluate, and address any issues or defects in system and server performance and in backup recovery/operations.
- May require travel or relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the US.
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
