Job Title: Staging Technician
Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay rate: $16/hr
Position overview: The Quality Assurance Technician is a key member of the staging and production team, responsible for maintaining daily quality standards across multiple device-related projects. Using provided tools and resources, this role ensures that project timelines and deliverables are met by performing thorough quality checks and collaborating closely with the Project Lead and Department Supervisor.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control activities to help achieve a target of 99.9% accuracy for all professional services and project deployments.
- Report or correct any QA issues, documentation errors, or system discrepancies to the Project Lead to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout all quality assurance processes.
- Serve as the final checkpoint for all outgoing orders, ensuring product staging, accessory inclusion, and packaging/kitting meet established requirements.
- Inspect devices for shipping damage and assess functionality
- Test, charge, and replace battery units as needed
- Load and configure network settings per customer specifications
- Install and configure programs as directed by order details
- Upgrade software and firmware on devices as necessary
- Document and communicate any device or system issues with Project Leads
- Repackage and label completed items for shipment according to order requirements
- Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing and maintaining inventory
- Ensure proper device handling and storage to prevent damage
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all devices meet required specifications
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate more complex problems to technical support teams
- Assist with device setup, including peripherals and accessories, as required
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in staging, production, or systems support.
- Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience in a support environment.
- Experience with hardware, peripherals, and connectivity support.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in situations with ambiguity.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to arising situations.
- Dependability, trustworthiness, and punctuality are required.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
