Job Summary

The Paralegal supports the commercial, clinical, and corporate activities of Werfen's Transfusion and Transplant business lines. Responsibilities include contract review, registration assistance, litigation management, negotiation, and analysis aligned with corporate strategy. The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel and collaborates with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support contract administration, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements such as confidentiality, consulting, service, supply, sponsorship, and research agreements.
  • Assist with corporate governance documentation, including board and shareholder records, officer certificates, and powers of attorney.
  • Ensure proper execution and maintenance of agreements per company policies.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives for contracting efficiency.
  • Uphold Werfen values of honesty, humility, respect, and trustworthiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Legal department.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certification with 3+ years of experience, preferably in healthcare or medical device industries.
  • Preferred:
    Notary public registration or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience managing corporate records is a plus.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Practical understanding of contract terms and negotiations.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accurately.
  • Professional interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and business acumen.
  • Strong judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with internal projects is preferred.

Travel Requirements: Up to 5% domestic and international travel as needed.
