Water Technology Specialist

CAPE Environmental Management is seeking an experienced Water Technology Specialist to support CAPE Hydro Tek's growing industrial water treatment business and the deployment of MATpure® catalytic water treatment technology. This position helps prepare and coordinate the work required to prepare equipment, materials, documentation, vendors, and logistics for customer projects and deployments.

The Specialist serves as a central contact for upcoming Hydro Tek projects. The employee reviews project and deployment requirements, prioritizes various needs, and resolves routine scheduling, inventory, vendor, freight, and equipment-readiness issues. The role works closely with engineering, scientific, sales, and other technical personnel but is expected to exercise independent judgment within approved policies, budgets, and management and project requirements.

This is a planning, coordination, equipment tracking and documentation, and operational position. The employee will also assist with catalyst assembly, equipment preparation, packaging, testing, shipping and similar hands‑on activities as project needs require it.

• Develop and maintain operational readiness for customer projects, trials, pilots, demonstrations, and other MATpure® deployments.
• Review project schedules and technical requirements with engineering, scientific, sales, and project personnel and determine the materials, equipment, documentation, vendors, and logistical support needed for execution.
• Prioritize operational work across concurrent projects and adjust schedules and resources when requirements or delivery dates change.
• Coordinate equipment preparation, inspection, staging, packaging, shipment, delivery, return, and redeployment activities from initial planning through completion.
• Determine appropriate shipping methods and schedules based on project timing, cost, equipment requirements, customer constraints, and delivery risk; coordinate with freight providers and resolve routine delivery issues and claims.
• Manage inventory planning for catalyst materials, cartridge components, vessels, equipment, tools, and commonly used supplies, including establishing recommended stocking levels and initiating replenishment within approved authority.
• Evaluate routine vendor and purchasing options, obtain and compare quotes, recommend suppliers, and coordinate orders within approved budgets and procurement requirements.
• Maintain deployment schedules, equipment records, inventory records, shipping documentation, vendor information, and project‑readiness status reports.
• Identify operational risks, recurring delays, inventory gaps, equipment‑readiness concerns, and process weaknesses; resolve routine issues and recommend corrective actions when management or technical approval is required.
• Develop, document, and improve procedures for equipment readiness, inventory control, shipping and receiving, returned equipment, cartridge preparation, workspace organization, and related Hydro Tek operations.
• Coordinate directly with customers, vendors, freight providers, and site personnel on schedules, delivery requirements, access, documentation, and other operational matters.
• Confirm that equipment and materials are prepared in accordance with project requirements and established procedures before release for shipment or field use.
• Coordinate the inspection, disposition, storage, maintenance, and future availability of returned systems and equipment.
• Provide management and the technical team with timely updates on project readiness, supply needs, costs, scheduling conflicts, and issues requiring a decision.
