About the Role

The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This position has a six‑month probationary period to gain the knowledge and complete the skills checklist to attain topout.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon corrections/adjustments may need to be made.
  • Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow‑up actions.
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts.
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations.
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check‑out processes.
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably.
What We Are Looking For
  • High school diploma.
  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing preventive (planned) and corrective (unplanned) maintenance.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all of the following areas:
    • Mechanical
      • Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
      • Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
      • Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
    • Electrical
      • DC Circuits – relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
      • AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.
    • Process Control
      • Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
      • PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.
  • Associate’s degree or 2+ years of vocational training.
  • Experience with maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound inspection, oil analysis, and precision alignment.
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.).
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT).
