Operational leadership must implement, measure, and continuously improve processes across all these areas to ensure the business has the necessary resources to achieve both current and future business goals. This role ensures the business's short—and long-term growth and success.
General OverviewThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Atlanta business, including Residential, Commercial, Air Duct, and Rug services. Annual revenues are projected to range from $12 to $20 million, with assets totaling $2.5 million and a workforce of 120 to 150 employees. The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of the business, including sales, service & operations.
The role requires strong business acumen and excellent skills in sales, people management, and process management.
The Operations Manager has responsibility for:
- Working alongside the leadership to develop and deploy annual business goals with a focus on profitability and growth
- Challenging the organization to consistently exceed past levels of performance and profitability by establishing increasingly efficient internal processes
- Ensuring the establishment and use of business tools to measure, monitor, and improve business performance (including growth, profitability, asset utilization & sustainability)
- Ensuring compliance with business regulations, including environmental, safety, and labor regulations
- Finding, developing, and retaining the human talent to meet short-term and long-term business performance.
- Ensuring benchmark levels of customer service and quality while developing leaders of the organization
- Analyze business performance and identify & implement improvement opportunities.
- Establish a continuous improvement philosophy within the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
Education and Experience
- The ideal candidate is a highly experienced individual in all aspects of operations, including sales, service, and cost management.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or MBA preferred but not required; 5+ yrs. related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong track record of leading operations
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to lead others and to work collaboratively across departments and locations
- Possessing the utmost in discretion and honesty
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
