ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This position has a six month probationary period to gain the knowledge and complete the skills check list to attain top out.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
● Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whetherfailures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may needto be made
● Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace withnew items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
● Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
● Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
● Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
● Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
● Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
● Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
● Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
● High school diploma
● Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee
performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
● Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
o Mechanical
- Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
- Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
o Electrical
- DC Circuits – relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
- AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.
o Process Control
- Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
- PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.
● Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
● Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography,
Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
● Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)
● Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday either 4am - 12:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm/ OT as required
Pay: $38.06
