Solventless Adhesive Lamination Operator
Our client in Norcross, GA, is seeking a reliable Solventless Adhesive Lamination Operator to join their production team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company.
Pay rate: $20/hr.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Occasional overtime on Fridays.
- Set up, operate, and monitor solventless adhesive lamination machines.
- Mix and apply solventless adhesives according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and work instructions.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain proper web tension, coating weight, alignment, and lamination quality.
- Inspect laminated materials for defects such as wrinkles, bubbles, poor adhesion, and registration issues.
- Perform routine quality checks and document production results.
- Troubleshoot minor machine and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and changeovers.
- Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production goals.
- Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience operating lamination equipment, preferably solventless adhesive laminators.
- Knowledge of flexible packaging materials, adhesives, and converting processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read production specifications and measure materials accurately.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in flexible packaging, printing, or converting.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and production documentation.
- Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
This role is essential to producing high-quality flexible packaging by ensuring laminated materials meet customer specifications while maintaining efficiency, safety, and minimal waste.
