Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe fitters for projects located in or around Norcross, GA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Perform journeyman-level pipe fitting work in a fabrication shop environment
- Perform piping takeoffs from drawings and specifications
- Lay out, fit, assemble, and prepare piping systems for fabrication and welding
- Work from current Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, piping schematics, and construction blueprints
- Measure, cut, bevel, thread, and fit carbon steel, stainless steel, hydronic, mechanical, and process piping systems
- Verify fit tolerances and use tooling required to confirm proper fit-up
- Utilize alignment tools including Hi-Lo gauges, bridge cams, and two-hole pins
- Read and accurately use a tape measure
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all safety standards
Requirements:
- Journeyman-level pipe fitting experience
- Ability to perform piping takeoffs
- Experience working from current WPS documentation
- Strong understanding of fit tolerances and quality verification tools
- Proficiency using Hi-Lo gauges, bridge cams, and two-hole pins
- Ability to read isometric drawings, piping schematics, and blueprints
- Strong math, layout, and measuring skills
- Must successfully complete a hands-on fit test prior to hire
- Standard pipe fitting tools
