Marketing Communications Lead

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and execute the APCO Holdings internal and external communications strategy, with a focus on maximizing employee and customer engagement. This role will lead and support APCO’s corporate communications strategy, maintaining a professional, consistent brand presence to internal and external audiences, ensuring that employees, prospects, and customers understand the brand promise and value proposition.

This role consults with internal business leaders and executives, advising on their communication strategy, planning, and execution for strategic communications initiatives.

This position requires a high degree of cross‑functional project management, relationship‑building skills, technical acumen, creativity, and critical thinking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communications and internal engagement initiatives aligned with company objectives, culture, and brand values.
  • Assist HR in developing and implementing employee engagement programs, including recognition and events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain high-quality internal and external email communications, PR, internal events, and intranet content.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to align communications with content, promotions, events, social, etc. to drive brand awareness and increase brand value among customer segments.
  • Manage the tactical operations and produce content for virtual Town Hall meetings, bringing ideas for improving engagement. Track engagement metrics by AOR and communicate to each SLT leader.
  • Manage operational calendars and projects supporting all company communications strategies.
  • Lead Employee Engagement Ambassador program to drive local office engagement activities.
  • Lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, managing APCO’s corporate giving and Volunteer Day program.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external communication strategies and share findings with department leaders and executive team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in internal communications at mid‑sized to large matrixed organization
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated success in communications strategy, execution, and measurement
  • Deep experience with Hub Spot, SharePoint, Zoom (or other webinar platform), and Microsoft Office apps
  • Highly skilled at communicating verbally and in writing with colleagues of various levels of experience and roles
  • Creative problem solver who likes to think outside of the box
  • Demonstrated track record of setting and achieving aggressive goals
  • Self‑starter with meticulous attention to detail and hands‑on experience in project management
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong analytical skills, complemented by the ability to take direction, learn/develop new skill sets, problem‑solve, make data‑driven decisions, and take on new challenges while paying strong attention to detail
  • Positive, flexible, and well‑organized to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
