Position Summary

MF Professional Services, Inc. (MFPS) is seeking Canvassers to support voter registration, voter education, civic engagement, and voter mobilization programs for our clients, including Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA).

Canvassers engage directly with community members in assigned Latino communities through door-to-door canvassing, voter-registration activities, community events, and other approved outreach.

This is a seasonal, part-time, field-based position scheduled for up to 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing and outreach in assigned neighborhoods and community locations.
  • Engage community members about voter registration, voter education, voting by mail, GOTV, and other approved civic engagement initiatives.
  • Provide accurate information using approved scripts, materials, and outreach methods.
  • Assist eligible community members with voter-registration activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Accurately document voter contacts, registrations, responses, and other required information.
  • Enter information using VAN, MiniVAN, mobile applications, spreadsheets, or other designated systems.
  • Follow assigned turf, schedules, check-in procedures, and daily performance expectations.
  • Participate in required trainings, pre-shift briefings, coaching, and team debriefings.
  • Protect voter-registration forms and confidential community information.
  • Follow all field safety, voter-registration, data-security, and organizational procedures.
  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with community members and coworkers.
Qualifications
  • No specific degree required.
  • Previous canvassing, voter registration, campaign, community outreach, customer service, organizing, sales, or other public-facing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow scripts, instructions, turf assignments, reporting requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or mobile application for field work.
  • Experience working with Latino or other diverse communities preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible daytime, evening, and Saturday schedules, up to 30 hours per week.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned communities and field locations.
Work Environment

This is a field-based position requiring extended periods of walking and standing in residential neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, public spaces, and events.

Canvassers work outdoors in varying weather conditions and may encounter heat, cold, rain, traffic, animals, stairs, and uneven walking surfaces. Daytime, evening, and Saturday work may be required depending on campaign and operational needs.
