Position Summary

MF Professional Services, Inc. (MFPS) is seeking a Canvass Lead to support voter registration, voter education, civic engagement, and voter mobilization programs for our clients, including Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA).

The Canvass Lead provides day-to-day direction, training, and field support to a team of approximately 4–5 canvassers while also participating directly in community outreach. This position coordinates daily field activities, monitors performance and data quality, and transports canvassers between assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily activities for an assigned team of canvassers.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate goals, schedules, turf assignments, and safety expectations.
  • Train, coach, and provide field support to canvassers.
  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing, voter registration, voter education, GOTV, and other approved outreach.
  • Prepare and distribute turf, materials, and field equipment.
  • Transport canvassers between assigned field locations.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, field activity, safety, and compliance.
  • Review and enter field data using VAN, MiniVAN, spreadsheets, and other designated systems.
  • Complete required reports and ensure voter-registration materials and confidential information are handled securely.
  • Promptly report performance, safety, data-quality, or compliance concerns to management.
Qualifications
  • Previous canvassing, voter-registration, campaign, community outreach, field organizing, or civic engagement experience required.
  • Previous experience leading, training, or coaching a canvassing or outreach team preferred.
  • Experience with VAN, MiniVAN, or similar voter-contact systems preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, legally required automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and access to a safe and reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability and willingness to transport canvassers between assigned work locations.
  • Experience working with Latino or diverse communities preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended campaign schedules.
Work Environment

This is a field-based position requiring regular walking, standing, driving, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Employees must be able to travel throughout assigned communities and transport canvassers between field locations.
