Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
As a Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. You will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world, working in a fast‑paced environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and personal growth.
Responsibilities- Use automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
- Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or biopsy samples received in large volumes daily.
- Set up and run lab tests and read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Specialize in an assigned department and apply departmental procedures and equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent (education and experience).
- Preferred: 2‑, 3‑, or 4‑year degree in a science‑related field.
- Preferable experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT).
- Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).
- Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, detail‑oriented, reliable, and precise work style.
- Good sense of team spirit and sense of responsibility.
Standing and sitting for extended periods; phone and computer use; extended reach; lifting up to 50lb; specific vision ability (close, color, depth perception, focus adjustment); potential exposure to biohazards and hazardous chemicals.

Monday–Friday, Noon–6:30pm; shift hours may vary slightly depending on business needs. Reliable attendance is essential.
