Quality Control Specialist

Actively Screening for Quality Control Specialist to Join Medical Laboratory in Norcross, GA!

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will review documentation, including records, procedures, and forms to ensure quality endpoints and compliance requirements are achieved. You will actively lead and contribute to data relevant to Quality Systems Compliance in periodic Management Review meetings and assist Quality Management in coordinating and participating in Quality or Compliance related projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct product tests and assessments in an industrial or warehouse setting to ensure specifications are met and products function as intended.
• Perform in-process and final product/result inspections and clearances on the production floor to ensure consistency.
• Identify product defects or potential issues and determine resolutions to resolve them.
• Analyze results of lab or usability tests to identify defects and ensure they do not persist.
• Maintain detailed records of product defects or manufacturing issues to aid in identifying and eliminating recurring problems.
• Notify supervisors or plant managers of issues or defect reports to assist in decision-making about manufacturing processes.
• Support process improvements throughout testing and quality assurance processes.
• Suggest improvements to address potential systemic problems found during quality control to ensure consistent production and error-free manufacturing or testing processes.

Essential

Skills:

• Proficiency in documentation and laboratory practices.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in quality control, quality assurance, or laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with document control, chemistry, biology, data entry, SOP, and GMP standards.

• Preferred experience in a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain comprehensive records.

Work Environment:

Work in a clean and regulated laboratory environment with a focus on quality control review. Training occurs Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, with the regular schedule from Friday to Monday, 12 PM to 10:30 PM. Employees will undergo comprehensive training, including shadowing Technologists and learning computer applications. You will have access to a training booklet to document your learning and will undergo a competency assessment after three weeks.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
