Role Overview We are seeking a QA & Document Control Specialist to oversee central quality databases, manage Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, and ensure food production standards, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements are met across all facilities and supplier networks.
Key Responsibilities- Database Management & Reporting:
Update central QA databases, customer portals, and raw material/finished product specs. Track QA KPIs and conduct data analytics for trend reporting. - Document Control:
Manage the QMS document control module and migration process. Deploy QA policies, procedures, and forms to food production plants, suppliers, and co-manufacturers. - Audits & Compliance:
Administer bi-annual FDA facility registrations. Assist with GFSI and Gluten-Free plant audits, audit prep, and required materials. - Traceability & Corrective Actions:
Coordinate regular testing of the corporate traceability and recall programs. Track and document corrective actions (CAPA) for out-of-compliance conditions. - Cross-Functional Support:
Train teams on standard operating procedures and collaborate with QA and Marketing on special production studies.
- Experience in QA, QMS, or Document Control within food production or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GFSI standards, Gluten-Free audit requirements, and FDA regulations.
- Background in database maintenance, data entry, and quality trend analysis.
- Excellent organizational and cross-departmental communication skills.
salary: $59,000 - $64,000 per year

- Ensures by keeping updates to compliance to Food Safety Regulatory Requirements Ensures highly disciplined compliance with all regulatory and Company.
- Defines and support food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and practices to guarantee product safety.
- Must be familiar with the Quality Management System.
- Reviews processing activities to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Assures that products are being produced in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s Part 110.0 & 117.0)
- Must be familiar with Food Safety Plan/cHACCP.
- Investigates and communicate to the Q.A manager all food safety issues.
- Responsible for assessing the training needs of the QA team, making sure that training is adequately performed and documented.
- Reviews and update work aids (instructions, charts, manuals, bulletins, code date calendars, etc.) essential for verification of product quality.
- Participates in food safety and sanitation audits.
- Conducts monthly team meetings to address employee issues.
- Verifies department’s standard operating procedures complies with BRC and/or regulatory requirements such as Customer specifications, FDA, Labeling Guidelines, USDA, PMO, GFSI-BRC and Health department).
