Overview

Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate opportunities in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity;

actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. The role involves selling and lending activities, customer service, and daily store operations with a focus on achieving sales and service goals.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Pay rate: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour.
• Commission structure: commission paid for every transaction you process; potential to earn unlimited commission above base rate.

• Vacation: one week after six months; additional week after one year; two weeks after each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted per state/local requirements).
• Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after six months, 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2–5), 24 hours after five years.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, etc.) in accordance with applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be a team player.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations as business needs dictate; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
