Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking
The Customer Service Specialist is essential to the success of our Automotive branches. They work closely with customers to determine needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams automotive products, recommend solutions, promptly resolve concerns, and ensure maximum client satisfaction. They also handle receiving and preparing orders and safely moving, loading, and delivering products.
The selected candidate will work at Automotive Branch #9208 located at 6300 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross, GA 30071. This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, typically between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, subject to business needs and change.
Responsibilities- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Load and unload products from deliveries.
- Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment safely.
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks/pallet jacks, carts, and similar.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Ensure that the stockroom is organized.
- Comply with inventory control procedures and assist with bi‑annual inventory review.
- Complete monthly and quarterly safety training.
- Assist with the physical inventory process, conducted semi‑annually.
- Promote sales specials and initiatives.
- Keyholder responsibilities may include completing branch opening and end‑of‑day procedures and making nightly bank deposits, as needed.
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Physically able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Willing to work all scheduled hours.
- At least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a Sherwin‑Williams automotive branch, or automotive industry.
- At least two (2) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
- Experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum hoists, drum dollies or conveyor belts.
- High school diploma or GED.
