We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to serve as the primary commercial partner for customers across the western United States, driving the complete sales process while collaborating with internal teams to deliver technically optimized packaging solutions.

Key Requirements Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Technology or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience within capital equipment, industrial automation, packaging machinery, or manufacturing technology.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex territory sales activities and customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America approximately 50–60%.

Preferred

  • Experience with in the food, pet food, snack food, frozen food, confectionery, bakery, coffee, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Knowledge of packaging systems such as:
    • Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS)
    • Cartoning
    • Case Packing
    • Palletizing
    • End-of-Line Automation
    • Integrated Packaging Lines
  • Proven success selling medium- to large-scale capital equipment projects with extended sales cycles.
  • Experience working with multinational organizations and cross-functional project teams.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop value-based solutions.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of automated manufacturing systems.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a large geographic territory.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the complete sales process for capital packaging equipment and integrated packaging systems throughout an assigned North American territory.

From lead generation and prospect development through quotation, negotiation, and order intake, this position serves as the primary customer relationship manager.

The ideal candidate combines strong consultative selling skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and packaging applications within the food industry.

Sales & Business Development
  • Generate and qualify sales opportunities for packaging machinery, integrated systems, and turnkey packaging solutions.
  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with ROVEMA North America's business objectives.
  • Drive the complete capital equipment sales cycle, from initial customer engagement through contract award and project handoff.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Build relationships across customer organizations including:
    • Plant Management
    • Operations Leadership
    • Engineering Teams
    • Corporate Engineering
    • Procurement
    • Executive Management
Customer Solution Development
  • Work closely with customers to understand manufacturing processes, packaging requirements, production goals, and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales Engineers and application specialists to develop customized packaging solutions.
  • Recommend equipment configurations, line concepts, automation solutions, and system enhancements that deliver measurable customer value.
