RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO) Central Support

  • Support the development of church-wide crisis management plans for situations like active shooters, natural disasters, or critical incidents.
  • Collect newsworthy information from all campus LSM Coordinators for the quarterly ministry newsletter.
  • Determines the cadence of global standardized security industry training.
  • Collaborate with the LSM campus coordinators in their efforts to staff for global meetings and events.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Life Safety on scheduling essential staff and team training and development, including programs like CPR, Active Shooter, and De-escalation.
  • Enforce implemented policies related to church security, such as those who can access certain areas, behavior expectations, and the role of security personnel.
  • Serve in partnership with the Director of Life Safety to oversee fire and life safety programs, including fire prevention, alarm and suppression system oversight, fire code compliance, emergency response planning, drills, inspections, and coordination with local fire departments and regulatory authorities
  • Assist with background check processing and evaluations for team members and staff.
  • Support the processes for monitoring security footage during services and events.
  • Support the Life Safety Director with Mandate Reporting
  • Assist the Life Safety Director with Police reports and court documents
  • Support Coordinators with Connection engagement, recruiting, and interviews for team member onboarding.
  • Support coordinators in the absence of the Life Safety Director
  • Supports the Life Safety Director and provides pastoral liaison leadership, ensuring alignment between Life Safety operations and ministry teams across the ministry.
  • Serves as an armed member of the Pastoral Protection Team, providing close protection of pastors and special guests during services and special events.
  • Provide security escorts to financial personnel during regular collections and deposits.
  • Semi Annual firearm training and certification demonstrating proficiency, knowledge of, and possessing firearms during performance of all duties.
  • Answer and respond to burglar and fire alarms, during or after regular business hours.
  • Assist with the facilitation of fire and evacuation drills throughout the year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in conducting routine fire and life safety inspections across all campuses.
  • Ensure all facilities meet and maintain compliance with Georgia State Fire Code standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with local fire marshals and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Support training and education of staff on fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Monitor and enforce policies such as keeping exits clear, preventing propped doors, and maintaining proper use of fire protection systems.
Security Operations Floater
  • Provide operational support across campuses as needed to supplement security coverage.
  • Assist during high-attendance services, special events, and emergency situations.
  • Fill staffing gaps due to absences, scheduling shortages, or increased risk levels.
  • Support incident response and ensure continuity of Life Safety operations across all locations.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred.
  • Georgia POST Certification is a plus
  • High School diploma/GED and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Eligible to obtain Georgia Weapons Carry License, carry and be proficient with personally owned firearm.
