Responsibilities- Promote safety by prioritizing it throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Repair and maintain electronic equipment: service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine‑tune, and test machines, devices, electrical systems, conductors, and associated equipment at aggregate, asphalt, ready‑mixed concrete, ship, and rail unloading systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment: detect and diagnose electrical wiring, appliance, fixture, and machinery problems, failing components, and malfunctions, correcting them and improving reliability.
- Inspect equipment, structures, and materials: complete scheduled checks of all electrical equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and unsafe conditions.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and documentation: work with blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine safe and effective installation procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3–5 years of experience in construction or industrial electrical work (CDL is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and theory; motor control preferred (NEC, NESC, & MSHA).
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, tolerate loud noise, and work overtime or extended hours as required.
- Mechanical skills: knowledge of electrical tools, their uses, and maintenance.
