About the Role
Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.
Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires, performing component lubrication and replacement, and addressing electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Work location:
2300 Weaver Way, Norcross, GA 30071
Working shift:
Sun‑Thur, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Must understand and comply with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, and safety policies (DOT, OSHA)
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
- Requires a current driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records; CDL holders must undergo DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, and complete background screening, drug screen, and physical
- Must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during scheduled work times
- Must use hands daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls
- Must safely work at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Must work safely in all weather conditions
- Must see and hear clearly to navigate a workplace with frequent truck traffic
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg); also required to push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs
