Commercial Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Technician

Benefits and Compensation:
- $28 to $40 per hour based on experience
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Primarily onsite position with limited field service work
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits after 60 days
- PTO program with accrual up to 20 days annually

Must Haves:
- Experience repairing commercial refrigeration and/or restaurant equipment
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine repair solutions
- Experience working with refrigeration systems, gas equipment, electrical systems, or a combination of these areas
- Ability to inspect, evaluate, and test used commercial food service equipment for resale readiness
- Experience troubleshooting returned equipment and identifying root causes of failure
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move, and work around commercial kitchen equipment safely
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, coolers, freezers, and ice machines
- Evaluate incoming used equipment purchased from restaurants, dealers, and other sources
- Test equipment functionality and determine required repairs prior to resale
- Inspect and troubleshoot returned equipment from customers
- Repair commercial cooking equipment including fryers, ovens, grills, and gas-fired appliances
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase systems
- Document findings and recommend repair solutions
- Occasionally travel to customer locations for troubleshooting, repair, installation, or equipment removal
Preferred Background &
Skills:
- HVAC/R experience
- CFESA certification
- Journeyman technician experience
- Commercial kitchen equipment repair background
- Experience working with both hot-side and cold-side food service equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service and communication skills
