Service Technician

Service Technician Diesel I

Pay: $27-35/hr

• Basic understanding of service intervals.
• Locate fluid types, capacities, and special instructions in the manufacturer’s digital service manual.
• Service, grease, and lubricate all mobile equipment.
• Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors.
• Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
• Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrialhand tools safely throughout the shop and plant.
• Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed daily and monthly regarding all mobile equipment.
• Enter and maintain service reports for all mobile equipment in written or electronic form.
• Perform physical activities requiring body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Additional vocational or trade school training in a mechanical field preferred.
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Must be willing to work overtime, extended hours, and weekends as required.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
• Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to apply safety protocols and participate in safety management (MSHA and Vulcan standards).
