THE OPPORTUNITY

Under general guidance and direction, the Software Engineer is responsible for activities to develop software to meet business needs. The Software Engineer reviews business requirements, develops source code, develops unit tests, and maintains existing applications. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing and deploying applications and microservices utilizing best practices for web standards, accessibility, usability, application development, security, and architecture.

You will also be responsible for performing diagnoses, troubleshooting, and assisting in the resolution of production problems for the organization applications. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to identify business requirements, provide technical solutions and release timing.
  • Design and create applications and APIs/microservices using conventional software development languages or low code/declarative platforms.
  • Maintain and perform enhancements to existing custom applications and processes.
  • Perform integration of systems utilizing various integration tools, APIs, and custom code.
  • Develop and perform unit tests.
  • Perform deployment of developed applications and automate processes to the extent possible.
  • Stay updated with the current best practices and industry developments in application development.
  • Provide support for internal applications and other information systems.
  • Document policies, designs, procedures and installation instructions.
  • Must be available for after-hour support and for evening or weekend deployments.
