Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately‑held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca is built on principles of Service, Integrity, Reliability, and relationships of trust with teammates, customers, and suppliers.
Each location, called a Profit Center (PC), is managed like a small business. Cowan Supply is a trade name operating in Norcross, GA, and we are looking for a Delivery Driver Non CDL.
About the Role- Operate trucks safely in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise, secure the load properly, and ensure necessary loading equipment is available.
- Understand shipping documents and navigation to each delivery destination.
- Review shipping documentation to ensure order accuracy.
- Unload correct merchandise and obtain signatures per company policy.
- Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sales before releasing materials.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies at delivery sites.
- Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including purchases from vendors and returns from customers.
- Record potential sales leads from prospective customers encountered during deliveries.
- Inspect the truck and required parts before departure, maintain truck cleanliness, and report mechanical problems.
- Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when required for trucks with GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more.
- Remove keys from the truck at end of day and store them in the approved location.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
- Have a driving record that meets Authorized Driver criteria under company policy.
- Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting and every two years thereafter.
- Have experience operating a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.; non‑CDL drivers only.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of state and Department of Transportation motor vehicle regulations.
- Experience in safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Calm under stressful or emergency situations.
- Ability to operate warehouse material‑handling equipment.
- Proficiency with computer systems used in the delivery process.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
