Job Purpose:
The Driver is responsible for ensuring safe transporting, delivering, and installing equipment at customer sites. This role ensures all deliveries are completed professionally while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
* Safely deliver, pickup, and relocate equipment and accessories.
* Verify all equipment, accessories, and documentation match customer orders prior to delivery.
* Load, unload, and secure equipment to prevent damage during transport.
* Complete delivery paperwork accurately and report any discrepancies or damages.
* Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
* Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service when interacting with customers.
* Perform other activities that support Milner and our Sales/Service organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
* A minimum of one to two years as a driver/delivery person.
* Skilled in driving 15-20-foot trucks with lift gate
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
Working Conditions:
* Requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping.
* May require occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
* Exposure to heat, cold, and fumes in open warehouse.
Special Requirements
* Must complete all required company and HR training courses.
