Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, the Receiving Specialist is responsible for handling both clerical and manual tasks related to the receipt, inspection, preparation, and shipment of medical device products. This role will coordinate inventory activities, ensuring compliance with each customer’s specific standards and requirements. The position does not include supervisory responsibilities but plays a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all shipping and receiving requirements and schedules are met according to company and customer standards.
  • Receive, organize, and manage daily inbound shipments and deliveries.
  • Check in and restock instruments and implant sets as needed.
  • Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures for the instrument disinfectant washer.
  • Conduct functional testing and inspection of instruments to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare daily reports using Microsoft Excel for inventory and operational activities.
  • Manage inventory control and reconciliation to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Assist in the assembly of new instrument and implant sets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.
  • Perform daily verification of secondary orders for accuracy.
  • Utilize a walkie stacker daily for efficient material handling.
  • Dispose of damaged, defective, or obsolete products following regulatory and quality procedures.
  • Adhere to documentation procedures as outlined in the Quality Management System.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned to support operational needs.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as quality control and operations, to resolve issues related to incoming shipments or product discrepancies.
  • Assist in training new team members on receiving processes and warehouse procedures.
  • Supports in daily outbound order second verification.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data management.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic inventory control principles.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment, including walkie stackers or forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ability to conduct functional testing and inspections of medical instruments with precision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage daily inbound shipments and maintain an orderly receiving area.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to inventory and shipping/receiving processes.
Physical and Location Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is regularly required to sit and climb or balance and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to access and physically navigate the warehouse facility.

This position is in Norcross, GA, on‑site essential.
