Position SummaryThe Warehouse Team Lead will supervise the Transfers team to ensure all the picked orders are shipped accurately and in a timely manner. They will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse team by leading, directing, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work. This position reports directly to the Service Centre Operations Manager.
Responsibilities- Supervise the picking/pack out team and ensure all picked orders are shipped in a timely manner.
- Ensure that items are appropriately marked or tagged for identification purposes.
- Run productivity reports (lines picked) for picking.
- Conduct regular audits on picked items and ensure orders are shipped as per Zurn’s standard criteria.
- Supervise the picking and pack out area to ensure associates work safely and customer orders are completed in a timely manner while following standard operating procedures.
- Process all outbound shipments: assemble and package materials per instructions, prepare for shipment, and assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents.
- Prepare the daily shipments for invoicing; verify orders for accuracy, communicate to stocking distributors and service centers, and log all orders shipped on a shipping log.
- Pack out customer orders – hand load product to pallets if required.
- Data entry tasks – create and update sales orders, print picking lists, update and print packing slips.
- Drive team productivity and continuous improvement.
- Backup for the warehouse daily stand‑up meeting, including running lines shipped and received information.
- Assist in miscellaneous and other projects as required.
- Ensure priorities are actioned.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping.
- Ensure all H&S activities are adhered to.
- Use WMS, scanner, and MS Office programs.
- Weekend/day overtime required at times.
- Key holder for opening/closing building.
- Operate PIT equipment as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
