Job Title:
Selector I_DIFF
Location: Norcross, GA 30071
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday: 5 PM start, finish once all tasks complete. Goal to end by 1:30 AM; OT mandatory if tasks are not done.
Note- Steel Toe Shoes required
- Order selecting of items from pick slots using Voice pick equipment.
- Staging pallets in proper staging lane on shipping dock.
- Loading merchandise onto trailer for outbound shipment.
- Ability to safely operate industrial powered equipment (e.g., ride on electric pallet jack, cherry picker, etc.) in high-traffic fast-paced environment.
- Perform all daily tasks with focus following established process and attention to detail.
- Order select items from pick slots per pick ticket.
- Stage outbound palletized units in appropriate staging area.
- Load merchandise onto correct trailer for outbound delivery.
- Move items from reserve locations to pick slot locations when necessary.
- Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Other job tasks as assigned.
- 0-3 Years of Experience.
- Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- Selecting the correct products from warehouse racking.
- Labeling product using SOS label technology.
- Palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders.
- Delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler, and freezer; operates assigned SOS unit to create labels.
- Correctly places labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out).
- Stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
- Stretch-wraps product on loading dock.
- Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Must follow Client's Safe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements to comply with policy set forth by Client and by AIB (American Institute of Baking).
- This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded, including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.
- Essential skills include the ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard.
- Working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
- Meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals.
- Developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Basic requirements include being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
- Basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 100 lbs regularly.
- Reports to Night Warehouse Manager / Supervisor.
