Responsibilities- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products.
- Operates manual or electric carts to fill orders.
- From the receiving area, scans and counts items and loads them on a cart.
- Stocks items appropriately by location and quantity.
- Receives merchandise from vendors and other stores and places them in the proper location on the shelves.
- Checks off merchandise as received.
- Corrects mistakes found on the inventory count sheet.
- Assists in pulling parts during busy times.
- Works with the stock manager to address any problems with orders.
- Completes miscellaneous projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
- 1–2 years of experience operating power industrial equipment.
- Accurately follows directions, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of map locations.
- Ability to sort by alpha or numeric.
- Maintains individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
- Focuses and remains on task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Regularly lifts, pushes, pulls, and/or moves objects 10–50 lbs and occasionally lifts and/or moves objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb ladders and/or stairs or balance.
- May be subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Time‑management skills.
- Works well under pressure.
- Works well with other staff members and supervisors.
- Has an open availability, is flexible and able to work various shifts and overtime.
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse.
- Maintains and promotes workplace safety.
- Experience with securing and transferring cash or other assets (preferred).
- 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
