Paraprofessional: K-2 Math Support

Job Description:

The goal of the Math Support Paraprofessional is to improve outcomes for students by teaching small group lessons and monitoring progress in collaboration with the math specialists.

Essential Job Functions:

Under the direction of a Math Specialist, provides instruction and intervention services to small groups of students and monitors their progress
Collaborates with the math specialists and classroom teachers to develop student support schedules
Adapts math interventions based on individual student learning needs
Maintains records of interventions and tracks student progress
Provides feedback and data to teachers and the math specialist to support report card and progress reports
Assists with assessments and collaborates with math specialists to analyze student data
Performs all other tasks as assigned by the Principal

Skills and

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in working with elementary students preferred
Passion for engaging students in math learning
Knowledge of growth mindset and ability to motivate students

Per NTA Collective Bargaining Agreement "Paraprofessionals"
Step 2 - Step 6 As follows:
Step 2 HQ Aide = $21.41 or Step 2 B15 = $27.06
Step 6 HQ Aide = $25.88 or Step 6 B15 = $30.90
